Kalsubai lies in Sahyadri region in Ighatpuri. On top of the Kalsubai trek is a small temple of Kalsubai one can seat and pray. This being the highest peak, it commands a beautiful view. The vastly spread-out backwaters of Bhandardara attract one`s attention from the top. To the north of the mountain range forts such as Ramsej, Harihargad, Brahmagiri, Anjaneri, Ghargad, Bahula, Tringalwadi, and Kavnai can be seen. To the east one can spot Aundha, Vishramgad, Bitangad, to the west Alang, Madangad, Kulang, and Ratangad (south-west) and to the south Padhargad, Ghanchakkar, Harishchandragad can be seen.

Kalsubai trek is also known as the Highest Peak in Maharashtra.

Day 01:

Itinerary  

10:00 pm - Meet leaders at Borivali National Park Gate, Borivali East

10:30 pm - Pick Up at Hanuman bus stop, Andheri.

11:50 pm - Pick up at Sion Lunch Home, Sion

11:45 pm - Pick up at Teen Hath Naka, Thane.

04:00 am - Reach Bari village and rest on a bus

06:30 am - Good Morning, Freshen up and have breakfast

07:00 am - Introduction round and start to Ascend towards Kalsubai Peak.

10:00 am - Reach the top and explore

11:00 am - Start Descending to the base of Kalsubai

02:00 pm - Reach Base Village and have Lunch.

04:00 pm - Start Return Journey Toward Mumbai

08:00 pm - Reach Mumbai (Depends upon the traffic)
