Kati Patang is a home for films from the fringe; films that are lost, forgotten and are seekers' finds. We want to give these films a context where they can come alive. The films have been put together with a midnight screening view in mind; at a time and pace where the world slows down and the noises dissipate. They sometimes speak to each other, sometimes contradict and other times just exist as thought bubbles. This film programme is one you can get lost in like a maze, and phase in and out of. 

This is the first volume of ‘Kati Patang’, programmed from submissions from all over the world. And we’re very excited to present it to you. 

Kati Patang is intended to transform itself across spaces, constantly interrogating and disrupting the way one views film. Whether being presented in the Harkat Virtual Cinema or physical spaces on our analog 8/16/35mm and digital projectors, the thrust of the programme will always be to gracefully put a spotlight on the so-called fringe.
