About the Instructor:

Member of International Dance Council, UNESCO, Paris. Started training at the age of 3 under Guru Dr. Rekha Desai, who is also her mother. She explores movements in amalgamation with yoga and emotions that drives human behaviours. Her techniques open a new avenue to re-visit our emotions and breakthrough the patterns of our behaviours that are blocking the growth through movement, dance and yoga. 

Artistic Director of Kalakruti Dance Academy (estd. 1985) by her Guru/Mother , having 10 branches in Mumbai. Has performed on PAN India level & toured Malaysia, Singapore, USA and Dubai for shows and workshops. Also, a yoga teacher.   

Recent works include –

o  Performed in the presence of Hon'ble PM Mr. Narendra Modi at Delhi.

o  Performance at Kalaghoda Fest, Mumbai with the daughter of Kathak queen Sitaradevi.

o  Performance at Orissa – Global Theatre Festival 

o  Performnce at the National Modern Art Gallery – Short Filmfest Awards Distribution

o  Performance at Sandipani Ashram , Porbandar, Gujarat

o  Performance for Aastha Channel, Thane

o  Choreography & Curating – Hanuman Chalisa – Bharatnatyam & Contemporary Dance styles.

o  Performance at The Art of Living International Centre, Bangalore 

Recipient of innumerable awards and certification at national and international level. Also, a social worker, managing trustee of Kalakruti cultural centre, a non-profit organisation aimed at reaching to street /underprivileged /special children and teaching them life skills.
