This cave group of 16 Buddhist caves were excavated in the first century B.C. In monsoon, water falls from the rocks above the caves giving it a beautiful appearance.

Brief Itinerary:

06:00 - Board Karjat fast from CST (6:10), Dadar (6:24), Thane (6:49)

08:05 - Meet at Karjat Stn and move to Kondana base in a tumtum

09:00 - Introduction, briefing and breakfast

10:00 - Start trekking 

12:00 - Reach Kondana caves and waterfall and explore. 

14:00 - Reach base village and have lunch

16:00 – Return to Karjat stn.

 - Bottled water and beverages

Things to carry:

 - At least 2 litre water (preferably in personal reusable bottles)

 - Good trekking shoes or sport shoes

 - Appropriate rain cover for yourself and bag

 - Change of clothes

 - A double strap bag. Sling bag not allowed in trek
