Leh, the highest plateau in the Himalayas of India is a desert city, is the capital of the Leh region in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir state. Originally a stop for trading caravans, Leh is now known for its Buddhist sites and nearby trekking areas. Massive 17th-century Leh Palace, modeled on the Dalai Lama’s former home (Tibet’s Potala Palace), overlooks the old town’s bazaar and mazelike lanes. 

Being the northernmost part of the country it extends from the Himalayas to Kunlun Ranges and also includes the upper Indus River valley. Ladakh region is divided into two districts, Leh and Kargil. Ladakh is a sparsely populated region but is dominated by people following Buddhism and Islam.

The word Ladakh means Land of High Passes. 

Day 1

New Delhi to Manali (Volvo Travel,12 hrs)

You are advised to reach VOLVO stand by 6 pm to board overnight Luxury VOLVO to Manali.

Day 2

Manali to Jispa (138 kms, 7 hrs of drive)

Today you will be proceeding for onward journey from Manali. We are not giving you an overnight stay at Manali considering that you have limited time with you for the whole journey. Arrive at Manali by 7 am.

After freshen up, start your journey towards the mighty Himalayas, with the first move towards Jispa en route Rohtang La & Keylong. You may like to stop by Rohtang for a click, but believe us there will be a plethora of ineffable beautiful landscapes on your way ahead. Later you will cross Keylong before finally arriving at Jispa, your halt for tonight.

Day 3

Jispa to Leh (330 kms ,9 hrs drive)

Start early Morning after Breakfast, to stamp on the grounds of Heaven on Earth named as Leh. Enroute you will come across beautiful landscapes of Baralancha-la, Tanglangla, Moore Planes & Upshi, the route most loved by Shutterbug community.

If you are sleeping on this route means you are missing the most precious times of your life.

Day 4

Leh Sightseeing

After Breakfast, visit Shey & Thiksey Monastery with Leh Palace. Drive towards the confluence of Indus and Zanskar, crossing Magnetic Hill. Visit Hall of fame & Shanti Stupa later in the evening as per the time remaining.

Don’t exert your body, if you are feeling tired at any time during the day. Overnight at Leh.

Day 5

Leh to Nubra (162 kms, 6 hrs of drive)

After Breakfast, move towards Highest Motorable Road of The World, KhardungLa Pass. Have a cup of Tea there, get yourself clicked with the Khardungla Signboard by BRO & proceed towards Nubra valley covering Deskit Monastery en route.

Check-in at Hotel/Camp, freshen up & later you can have a Double Hump Bactarian Camel ride. Don't forget to click this unique mammal, found in cold Desert. It was once used to carry the trade material on silk route.

Day 6

Nubra to Leh (162 kms, 6 hrs of drive)

After Breakfast, check out from the camps & visit Deskit Monastery, Panamik via the confluence of Shyok & Nubra River across Sumoor.

Return to Leh by Evening. Overnight at Leh.

Day 7

Leh to Pangong (225 kms, 7 hrs of drive)

After Breakfast, check out from Leh & proceed for one of the most beautiful & scenic, Saltwater Pangong Lake at Spangmik via Changla Pass (17350 ft). Various Bollywood movies have been shot at this lake. One-Third of this lake is controlled by India & rest of the two-thirds lies under Chinese province.

Day 8

Pangong to Leh (225 kms, 7 hrs of drive)

After Breakfast, check out from Camps for the return journey to Leh. Enroute visit Hemis Monastery & 3-Idiots School.

Day 9

Leh to Sarchu (260 kms, 8 hrs of drive)

After Breakfast at Hotel, you are advised to depart from Leh by 8:00 am, in order to reach Sarchu in due time. Enroute you will come across Upshi, Tanglangla, Moore Plains, Sarchu, Baralacha-La, before finally arriving at Jispa.

This route is most loved by shutterbug community, for the amazing snow cladded landscapes & tortuous roads, one can come across.

Day 10

Sarchu to Manali (260 kms, 8 hrs of drive)

After early Breakfast, start your journey to Manali via Keylong, (the administrative centre of Lahaul & Spiti district) & snowbedded Rohtang La.

Depart for Delhi by 5:30 pm VOLVO. (Overnight/ extended Stay on request)

Day 11

Overnight Bus Travel from Manali to New Delhi ( Volvo Travel,12 hrs)

Today you will arrive at Delhi, Majnu ka Tila by 8:00am. Your Tour ends here with everlasting memories of the trip.
