Melbourne Talam was nominated for the coveted Green Room Award 2018 in 5 categories including the best original Australian script. A racy play about displacement, immigration, and identity had 21 shows at MTC Southbank Theater and toured seven cities.

Poorna, Sonali and Jasminder live in Melbourne unknown to each other. They cross paths at the Flagstaff Station, just about noticing each other. As they wait for their trains they think of their lives back in Hyderabad, Delhi and Gurdaspur. They can’t seem to sync with the rhythm of Melbourne - falling and failing, but not giving up. Their time is running out and there is not enough love or money for everyone. Melbourne Talam is a funny and tragic tale of Indians living in Melbourne/ abroad.
