Monsoon Trek Kalsubai | Mumbai Mountain Hikers

Kalsubai peak height is 1646 meter (5400 feet). Kalsubai is Highest peak of Western Ghat/Sahayadri.  It is also known as Everest of Maharashtra. Various peak are situated around Kalsubai like the north of the mountain range forts such as Ramsej, Harihargad, Brahmagiri, Anjaneri, Ghargad, Bahula, Tringalwadi, Kavnai can be seen. To the east one can spot Aundha, Vishramgad, Bitangad, to the west Alang, Madangad, Kulang, Ratangad (south west) and to the south Pabhargad, Ghanchakkar, Harishchandragad can be seen.

The peak attracts a large number of trekkers and devotees determined to scale the mountain. To reach the summit there are well designated trekking routes. The trek route is a mix of easy to ascend slopes as well as treacherous rocky outcrops overlooking the valley below. The government has built iron ladders along the vertical hill slopes. These assist trekkers to allow for a convenient and safe ascent.

• 05:00 am reach base village and enjoy breakfast
• 06:00 am start trek Kalsubai
• 9:30 am reach on the top
• 10:00 am return to Base Village
• 2:00 Pm reach to base village and have lunch
• 3:00 pm return journey to Mumbai
• 8:00 pm reach to Mumbai
