About Monsoon Trek to Kothaligad:

The monsoons are a great time to go trekking in Maharashtra. The state has some of the best trekking trails in the country, and they are even more beautiful during the rains. One of the best monsoon treks in Maharashtra is the Kothaligad Trek. Kothaligad fort trek is famous for Kothaligad fort, also called the Peth fort because village Peth is located at the base of this fort. The defense fort of Kothaligad was used to store ammunition.

The Kothaligad Trek is a moderate to difficult level trek that takes you through some of the most picturesque landscapes in the state. The trail starts from the base village of Ambewadi and passes through dense forests, waterfalls, and streams. It then climbs up to the top of Kothaligad, where you can get stunning views of the surrounding area.

The focal attractions of the Kothaligad trek route include the two caves, the first of a Goddess and the other Bhairoba cave with sculpted pillars. The view of windmills and sunrise from the pinnacle of the peak are other prime attractions. Another highlight of the trek is the presence of beautiful fireflies along the trail in the pre-monsoon season.

Itinerary:

Day 1

• 05:30 Am – Meet LiveB4YouDie Team at SGNP, Borivali.
• 05:45 Am – Settle down our private vehicle as we start our journey towards the base Village.
• 06:00 Am – Pick up at Bisleri Factory, Andheri.
• 06:15 Am – Pick up at Kalanagar bus stop, Bandra.
• 06:30 Am – Pick up at Sion Circle.
• 06:45 Am – Diamond Garden, Chembur.
• 07:15 Am – Vashi below main bridge.
• 09:30 Am – Reach the base village, freshen up and fill in your tummies with some morning breakfast.
• 10:30 Am – With a short introduction and briefing round we start our trek.
• 01:00 Pm – As we reach the top, explore the place and click pictures to take back home.
• 01:30 Pm – After a group picture we start our descend to the base village.
• 04:00 Pm – Freshen up on reaching the base village and settle down for some local Maharashtrian lunch.
• 05:00 Pm – Settle in our transfer vehicle to start our return journey.
• 08:00 Pm – Time to say GOODBYES but with a promise to meet again.

• Raincoat, rain poncho, or windcheater and Cap

• ORS, Glucose, Electrol, Personal Care Medicine those which you require usually.
• A good a trekking shoe, an extra pair of floaters.
• Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments.
• Dress Code T-shirt, Flexible Track Pant. (HALF PANT NOT ALLOWED.).
• Carrying sanitizers, gloves, face shield and mask is compulsory.
• A haversack to put in all the things to be carried, so that one has ones hands-free while trekking.

Cancellation Policy:

• 100% amount to be paid in advance to book the trip.
• No show = No refund
• Event Tickets cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
• Event Tickets cannot be transferred to another person against cancellation.
• If Trek get cancelled, we will refund “Trek Amount” only.
• If the event is canceled due to any natural calamity, political unrest or other such reasons beyond our control the same cancellation policy will apply.

Rules:

• Smoking and drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited.
• Leaders’ decisions will be final and binding.
• Participants or Members are responsible for his/her own safety and baggage.
• Team reserves all the right to change/deviate/cancel the plans without prior notice.

Note:

• There is no freshen up / washroom facility at the top. There is the only a toilet at the base village.
• Avoid carrying heavy weight for the trek.
• Floaters and Sandals are not allowed, please wear proper trekking shoes. (Shoes with poor condition will not be allowed).

• Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen in spite of taking utmost caution and care.
• The "LiveB4YouDie" will not be responsible for injury/accident/death to the participants.
• Participants with any medical issues /history are not allowed to opt for this event. If he/she does so that it is done at the participant's risk. The management won't be responsible for any incident.
