The Nanda Kot Base Camp trek leads you close you to the southern wall of the Nanda Devi Sanctuary.

The valley leading upto this point is the Pindari Valley.

As you trek off the valley floor towards the peak of Nanda Kot you are greeted by one of the most dramatic views of the Kumaon Himalaya including the twin peaks of Nanda Devi. By end September the monsoon starts to withdraw in the Kumaon Himalaya and its a great time for mountain travel before the winter sets in.

Itinerary

Day 1

Morning Shatabdi 6.20 am to Kathgodam with arrival at 11.20am and drive to Almora/ Binsar by evening time.

Day 2

Drive to Khati (road now goes almost till Khati - about 800 meters before at Dhakuri, from where luggage can be transported to either the village, or KMVN guesthouse about 10 mins walk from the village and recommended.

Day 3

Khati to Dwali (12 km)

Day 4

Dwali to Phurkiya (7km)

Day 5

Phurkiya to Zero Point (establish fixed camp)

Day 6

Excursion to ABC (can stay a night here without basecamp support - team can be fed in camping style which will be a great experience for them)  

Day 7

Descent to Zero point - move to Phurkiya and continue descent to Dwali

Day 8

Descent to Khati by lunch and drive to Binsar

Day 9

Drive to Kathgodam for 3:30 PM Shatabdi to Delhi arriving at 8:50 PM
