About the musicians
- Gino Banks - Son of the legendary jazz maestro Louis Banks, Gino is a versatile musician, a trait that leads him to perform and record with artists and bands of all types of genres. In this live online session, Gino brings 4 Limb Coordination for drummers and rhythmic concepts for all musicians
- Rakesh Chaurasia - Nephew and child prodigy of flute maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, he has carved a niche for himself, as an accomplished Flautist by incorporating the tradition of his renowned uncle and infusing his personal style which captures the attention of the young listeners too. In this online workshop, Rakesh will be covering the technique of flute across various genres like Classical, Fusion, and Bollywood.
- Ojas - A child prodigy, who was a performing artist in Kalyanji Anandji's "Little Wonders" and has performed almost 500 stage shows globally. Ojas started learning Tabla at a tender age of 5 from Shri Mridangraj ji and is a Limca Book of Records holder as the youngest Tabla player of India. In this live online class, Ojas will explain the finer details, traditional compositions & rhythmic aspects of Tabla playing across various genres.
- Sangeet Haldipur - One of the finest keyboard players and young music composers of India. He is the son of India's number one violinist and a famous composer, Amar Haldipur. You might also remember him as one of the members of the Channel V mixed pop-star band "AASMA". He has learnt various genres of music like jazz, Indian, and western classical. This digital workshop is your chance to interact and learn about composing music and the vast approach towards arranging and song production.
- Purbayan - Considered one of the finest Sitar players in Indian Classical music, he has attained a very special place for himself among the musicians and music lovers around the world. In this session, Purbayan brings the nuances of the sitar to you in a way that each one of you can understand. In addition to talking about the various ways the sound of the sitar fits into different soundscapes, Purbayan will be talking about a comprehensive approach to the sitar technique.
- Sheldon D'Silva - Son of Trevor and Rekha D'Silva, Sheldon was introduced to the world of music by his father who taught him to play the Bass Guitar when he was 12. He has recorded on innumerable Bollywood movie soundtracks and background scores as well as private and international, across different genres of music from pop to rock to Jazz, Funk, and Fusion. With this live online music session, Sheldon will cover the following topics: Right Hand Sound Palette, Strengthening Your Fingers, Building 'The Bassline', Swing, Improvisation, Time and Pocket and Make Music First.
