So you have seen Ladakh, and the Pangong ; even the Rancho school. But have you seen Tso Moriri? If you haven't, then Wander Womaniya bet you must!
Arrival in Leh, relax at your stay, and allow your body to acclimatize to the change in altitude.
Day 2
Local sightseeing of Leh
Magnetic Hill - where objects and cars seem to roll uphill in defiance of gravity when they are, in fact, rolling downhill!
Confluence of Indus and Zanskar - an astonishing sight to discover!
Day 3
Head out to the beautiful Nubra Valley.
Day 4
Transfers from Nubra Valley to the colour-changing Pangong Lake, whose sight will surely leave your jaw-dropped!
Day 5
Pangong Lake to Tso Moriri Lake - Highlight of the tour.
The lake is located to the southeast of Leh in eastern Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, at a road distance of 240 kilometres (150 miles). The road is in a good condition for the most part. One can also reach Tso Moriri directly from the Pangong Tso via the remote Changtang region. This is considered to be one of the most beautiful drives in the entire Ladakh region. Foreigners are not allowed to go beyond the Man-Merak villages on Pangong Tso as permits are not issued for them. The distance between Pangong Tso and Tso Moriri is 235 km and there are no petrol pumps in the area. Carrying enough fuel is therefore necessary.
Day 6
Drive back from Tso Moriri to Leh while enjoying the spectacular view of snow-capped mountains!
Day 7
Exploring the city of Leh. Visit to the following places:
Pathar Sahib Gurudwara - beautifully constructed
Shey Monastery - the summer retreat of the kings of Ladakh!
Thiksey Gompa - located on top of a hill in Thiksey Village
Rancho School - because it is a must!
Day 8
Departure from Leh - fly out with beautiful memories of the trip!
All meals between your arrival and departure at Leh
