About the Event
Facilitated by Koshy Brahmatmaj
Part of the Methods Series
This workshop invites participants to stitch their personal and collective memories that reflect their relationship with home and city. Participants will distort images of their choice into pixelated patterns and translate the process into textiles using cross-stitch embroidery, exploring the interconnectedness of analogue and digital forms.
What to expect:
Hands-On Creativity – Participants will transform personal images into pixelated cross-stitch patterns, merging traditional craft with digital aesthetics.
Storytelling Through Stitching – Using embroidery, they will explore personal and collective memories of home and city.
Meditative & Accessible Craft – Cross-stitching is slow, mindful, and open to all skill levels, requiring no prior experience.
Do you need to bring anything?
Participants should bring 3-5 images representing home/city (objects, people, architecture, flora & fauna, etc.). All materials will be provided.
