Denzil Smith (born 6 November 1960) is an Indian film and stage actor and producer. Born to Anglo-Indian parents in Mumbai, he is known for his stage and screen roles as a character actor. Denzil has acted in over 40 plays and 29 films. He has a long-standing association with both Motley Productions for Waiting for Godot, and The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial, and PrimeTime Theatre for August: Osage County and Sammy, among other works. Notable international productions include Merchants of Bollywood (2007-2010) and Life of Buddha (2014). Film credits include Brahman Naman (2016), Bombay Velvet (2015), The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015), The Lunchbox (2013), The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2011), Frozen (2007), Ek Ajnabee (2005), and Paap (2003).
Danish Husain is a poet, actor (Losing Gemma, Peepli Live, Dhobi Ghat, Ankhon Dekhi, Welcome To Karachi), filmmaker (Live from Peepli documentary), theatre director (Krapp's Last Tape, Chinese Coffee, Ek Punjab Ye Bhi), one of the people who helped revive the lost art form of Urdu storytelling, Dastangoi, and a columnist with India Today opinion site, Daily O. He runs his own theatre company called The Hoshruba Repertory, which premiered its new play, "Ek Punjab Ye Bhi," at the prestigious Prithvi Theatre Festival 2015. His upcoming projects include four indie movies - Mantra, City of Dark, Alif, and Newton; a multi-lingual theatrical storytelling project Qissebaazi at NCPA, Mumbai's Centrestage Festival 2016, and a sitcom with &TV (Zee Network) called Bin Kuchh Kahe. He won the META for Best Supporting Actor in 2008, and Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puruskar from Sangeet Natak Akademi in 2010.
Deepak Verma is a flamenco guitarist based in Mumbai. Originally a rock guitarist, having played in many rock bands and working in the competitive music industry with some of the country's biggest acts, Deepak's life took a sharp turn when he took a masterclass from a flamenco guitarist named Amir John Haddad in Mumbai. It was the most magical experience of his life. A new world had opened up. Flamenco was the new love of his life.
Following his passion, Deepak travelled to Spain to demystify the magic of flamenco guitar. In Spain, Deepak had the great opportunity to study the art and craft of flamenco guitar. Studying under great flamenco masters such as Amir John Haddad (Hanz Zimmer, Marcus Miller, Chambao) and Juan Del Gastor in the year 2017. This experience opened his ears to the sound of flamenco music and gave him the direction he needed.
Having spent time in Andalusia (South Spain), the birthplace of flamenco music, Deepak absorbed the nuances of the sophisticated style, appreciating its complex rhythms and articulations, as well as its beautiful culture and traditions.
