Vikash Paul, a Chartered Accountant by profession and a stand-up comedian by passion, is one of the most seasoned and experienced comics from the Chennai stand-up comedy circuit. In the last 3 years of doing professional stand-up comedy, he has shared the stage with big names in the Indian stand-up comedy scene like Zakir Khan, Amit Tandon, Daniel Fernandes, Kunal Kamra, Sorabh Pant, Karthik Kumar, Praveen Kumar and Kenny Sebastian. With close to 150 shows, he has become a regular face at popular comedy venues across Chennai and has also performed in other major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata. And, has over a million views on his YouTube videos.
Karthi Durai
Karthi Durai (a.k.a KD) is the most popular comic in the history of Neptune. His dedication to stand up has seen him travel across continents for open mics, as he stays in Avadi (slightly left of Africa). He’s super enthusiastic on stage, but rather sad off stage when people don’t laugh at his jokes. He loves it when people turn up at his shows as his friends never do. In fact, he’s the only person from his family circle who comes to his shows. His observational humour and his storytelling style of comedy has won him numerous opening spots at the school principal’s office, where he honed his skills. Although he knows “No means no”, no one has ever heard him say it, especially when offered food. Researchers at Harvard think it’s because he’s perpetually single and broke.
Sudarsan Ramamurthy AKA Soda
Soda is a stand-up comedian, comedy producer, writer, author, and freelancer for hire. When he first told a joke, his friends cringed and moaned. This inspired him to make a career out of telling jokes to strangers. He has received many death threats from close friends for his puns off-stage. Thankfully, he has received good responses via his on-stage performances. Soda produces show with Chennai Comedy, one of Chennai's longest running platforms for stand-up.
