About the Event
The day we create a society where no one fears sexual violence, that will be the day we truly celebrate freedom.
The “Run for Respect” marathon is being organized to honor the dignity of every individual and to raise awareness for the cause of a rape-free society. This initiative aims to spread a powerful message about the importance of respect, safety, and empowerment for all, regardless of gender.
As India’s largest run dedicated to the cause of creating a safer environment for everyone, the marathon welcomes participants from all walks of life—men and women alike—to join in solidarity. The event will take place across several cities in India, with proceeds going to organizations that work relentlessly on issues of sexual violence, safety, education, and mental health support for survivors.

Thank you for joining us for the “Run for Respect” marathon. Below are the important guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone:
1. Arrival and Registration:
• Please arrive at least 30 min. before the start time to complete the on-site registration and warm-up.
• Bring a printed copy of your registration confirmation or have the digital version ready for verification.
• You will receive your bib number, event T-shirt, and other materials at the registration desk.
2. Safety Measures:
• Wear comfortable shoes and suitable running attire.
• There will be water stations located every 2 km along the route. Make sure to stay hydrated!
• Medical assistance will be available at designated spots throughout the course. In case of any discomfort, stop immediately and seek help.
• Please maintain physical distancing where possible and follow local health guidelines. Masks are required at the start and finish points but may be removed during the run.
3. Route Information:
• Follow the designated route marked by banners and volunteers.
• There will be volunteers along the course to assist and guide you.
• Please adhere to the designated lane and avoid obstructing fellow runners.
4. Respect for the Cause:
• This marathon is dedicated to raising awareness for a safer and more respectful society. Maintain sportsmanship and respect for all participants.
• Be considerate towards the environment—dispose of waste at the designated bins provided throughout the venue.
5. Post-Run Activities:
• After completing the run, join us at the awards ceremony where all finishers will receive a participation certificate and medal.
• There will be a guest speaker session, refreshments, and charity booths at the finish point.
• Feel free to take pictures and share your experience using the hashtag #RunForRespect on social media.
