‘SABR’ is the third studio album by the Anirudh Varma Collective. The album features almost 50+ artists across India. It encapsulates themes of fate, determination, celebration, love and longing – the word ‘SABR’ holds all these themes together. The album itself has been in the working for almost 3 years since the 2nd album – Homecoming got released. ‘SABR’ as a 12-track record is an amalgamation of classical compositions, original compositions and works of Kabir. 

The Collective is presenting a concert celebrating their sophomore album, in collaboration with Teamwork Arts - the producers of the Jaipur Literature Festival. The concert will feature over 75+ artists across India.

The Anirudh Varma Collective is a contemporary Indian Classical Ensemble, based out of New Delhi, India. The music of the Anirudh Varma Collective is a rich blend of intricate rhythms, beautiful melodies, and fresh harmonies that bring together the best of traditional and modern music. Exploring the contemporary Indian classical genre, their songs evoke nostalgia and give it a new colour.

The Anirudh Varma Collective is globally recognized to bridge classical traditions with a modern sensibility and reimagining it for a diverse and evolving global audience. AVC got the opportunity to collaborate with the top Bollywood music composers in India - Salim Suleiman, as part of their project ‘Soundchk Season 2’. Since its inception in 2018, the Collective has presented over 600 concerts across India, Maldives, Kuwait, Dubai & USA. AVC completed its USA Tour in September-October 2023, presenting 15 concerts across 9 cities - the Berklee College of Music, Asia Society (New York), Rothko Chapel, Hobby Centre for Arts (Houston), Herb Alpert School of Music, UCLA and Williams Center, New Jersey to name a few.

The ensemble has released two studio albums – Perspectives (2018) and Homecoming (2022) to critical acclaim, featuring over 200 artists across the globe. The Anirudh Varma is now set to release the third record – ‘SABR’.
