Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from NJP/Bagdogra airport to Ramam; 7-8 hour drive, 6,400 ft

On Day 1 you will reach NJP/Bagdogra, West Bengal. We will arrange a pick up for you from the railway station/airport. You will drive 7-8 hours to reach a village called Ramam. You will stay the 1st night in Ramam in a local homestay

Day 2: Ramam to Gorkhey via Samanden; 9km trek, 5-6 hours, 7,500 ft

On Day 2 you will start your trek to Gorkhey, a remote village nestled in the Singalila mountains. The trail feels enchanted as it passes through dense pine forests. You will spend the night at a quaint homestay.

Day 3 : Gorkhey to Phalut via Aalu Bari; 13-15 km trek, 7-8hours, 11,800 ft

Day 3 is a long day. The trail is a complete ascent till you reach Phalut. You will go through a lovely forest trail and have hot lunch on the way at Aalu Bari. When you finally reach Phalut it all feels worth it. Phalut is the second highest point in West Bengal and offers the best view of Kanchenjunga

Day 4: Phalut to Thokum (Nepal); 10km trek, 5-6 hours, 11,200 ft

On Day 4 we will trek to Thokum, Thokum is in Nepal. One independent blue house stands amongst the rolling Singalila mountains. Yes, that is where you will stay. It is an extremely beautiful location.

Day 5: Thokum to Sandakphu; 11km trek, 5 hours, 11,950 ft

On Day 5, you will head to Sandakphu. This is the highest point of West Bengal. The trek from Thokum to Sandakphu is easy and you can enjoy the views as you walk. You will stay in sandakphu. In the evening we will go to Aal to watch the sun setting on a bed of clouds.

Day 6: Sandakphu to Gurdum; 9km trek, 7 hours, 7,400 ft

On Day 6, you will trek to Gurdum, a small village. the trek is a complete decent till Gurdum. You spend the night at a wonderful homestay as you reflect on your trek experience.

Day 7: Gurdum to Srikhola, Drive to NJP/Bagdogra; 4km trek, 3 hours, 6,400 ft

Day 7 is the last day of your trek, on this day you will decent further till Srikhola. After a snack at Srikhola you will drive back to NJP/Bagdogra.
