A modern-jazz trio, the Neue Jazz Collective from Delhi brings you music which blends traditional jazz with modern harmonic sensibilities.

The Neue Jazz Collective began as a collaboration between pianist/composer Prabir Sekhri and guitar player Bhaskar Gurung. Having worked on a few new compositions together, the duo set out to find a rhythm section that would best compliment their vision for the music. Rahul Rai and Reuben Narain stepped in on bass and drums. Prabir subsequently moved overseas.

The Collective primarily plays music composed by the duo, as well as personal takes on songs that have inspired them over the years. A compelling rhythm section accompanied by lush arrangements and uninhibited improvisation; makes the music edgy, dynamic and absorbing for the listener.

Look forward to a unique set which resonates an amalgamation of modern standards and original compositions; inspired by Hiromi Uehara, Aaron Parks, Pat Metheny, John Coltrane, Miles Davis.
