Over 50 years ago, someone in Hyderabad dared to go against the stream and made history. Born and raised in privileges, trained to be   a polo companion like his illustrious father, he was expected to take over the mantle of their stud farm. Instead, he chose to follow his own calling and devoted his entire life to serious, meaningful theatre. In the early 1970s, the majestic Golconda Fort, the imposing Chowmahalla Palace, the stately Jubilee Hall came to life with the grandeur of Qadir Ali Baig saheb's original vision of his larger-than-life historical pageants, long before sound and light shows. And the iconic Ravindra Bharathi witnessed his social plays that introduced progressive playwrights of his era to Hyderabadi audiences. In 46 years of his life, the legend crafted 46 memorable plays - writing, acting, producing, directing ... spinning magic over monuments, in proscenium and arena, unlike anything that Hyderabad had ever seen. His plays are still etched in Hyderabad's memory. He is immortalised as one of the finest, complete stage personalities of India who lived and breathed theatre.
