EVENT INFORMATION

SKANDAGIRI, also historically known as Kalwarbetta or Kalavara Durga is a mountain fortress located around 70 km from Bangalore. This tiring yet much rewarding trek takes you through a spectacular journey amidst the wilderness. This 8 km trek can easily be completed within 4 hours of ascending and descending. Tried and tested both by amateurs and professionals. This moderately difficult trek is a must for all thrill seekers as Skandagiri is famous for walking above the clouds, literally!

Itinerary :

– Boarding at designated pickup point and begin the journey to Skandagiri.

– Let's have a stopover to a midway Restaurant for refreshment and fun activities.

– Two hours of chit chat session with Bonfire and on the go Games and delicious snacks.

– After Snacks, We will start our journey to reach base camp at 4.00 am for the trek starting point.

– 6.00 am reach peak & enjoy beautiful sunrise from atop the peak.

– Explore the thickets and the panoramic views from the top & start descending back by 7.30 am.

– 9.00 am have breakfast and start return journey back to Bangalore.

– 11.00 am reach Bangalore.

Inclusions :

– Transportation, Forest permission, Bonfire/fun activities in campsite/resort

– Meal: 1 breakfast

– Trip Coordinator & forest guide, Basic First Aid.

– All transfers included.

– These are group transfers and if you need a private transfer, please inform us accordingly.

Exclusions :

– Meals/Snacks unless mentioned explicitly in the inclusions.

Things to carry :

– ID proof, Water bottle (2L)

– Backpack ideal for a day trip (10L-20L)

– Sunscreen/cap

– Track pants

– Full sleeve cotton t-shirt

– Torch (with extra batteries)

– Personal Medication, Energy bars, dry fruits. 

– Necessary toiletries

– Shoes with a good grip

Know Before You Book :

– Please note that this is intended to be a backpacking adventure trip. The transportation included are shared ones, which will allow you to meet new people and make travel friends. If you’re looking for private transportation, it can be arranged at additional cost.

– Age Limit: Open to All

– If the participant cannot participate in the event, other participant can join the event.

– Duration of trek may vary, depends on the walks by participants. –Alcohol is not allowed during the treks.

– TRAVEL LYKKE is not responsible for any injury/accident during the treks or travelling.

– For cancellation/refund, kindly visit our cancellation policy.

– Participants must follow the trek place formalities from the government & by local guides or village people.

– Damage done for sleeping bags & tents from the participant during the event, must be paid by self by taking the product.

– Event cost includes all taxes no extra will be charged.

– Minibuses, Buses or Tempo traveller will be the mode of transportation depending on the group size.

– Discounts will be given for a corporate/college/bulk booking.

– We do not have control over drivers, as we are based on 3rd party for travels. – We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes prior at the venue.

– Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
