About the Event
About :-
Perched high in the Himalayas’, Spiti is a cold desert mountain that is formed by the rustic landscapes and exciting roadmaps that make it a perfect destination for roadtrippin’. The Spiti Valley Road trip will take you through the treacherous curves and the high passes will welcome you with open arms.
Ranging from the relics of the rich Buddhist culture to the collection of vantage points, you can witness everything in this quarter which you trace the roads. The mountain gets its name from its meaning which is “the middle land” as Spiti is between India and Tibet and can be reached by the Indo-Tibetan road.
It is snuggled at an elevation 12,500 feet above sea level and a road trip to such high altitude is a crowning stroke!
DETAILED ITINERARY:-
Day 1 - 23rd Sept: Mumbai to DELHI
04:30 pm - Meet and Greet at Mumbai Central Railway Station and Proceed your journey towards Delhi by 3 Tier AC.
Day 2 - 24th Sept: Reach Delhi and Explore
- 10:30 am - Reach Delhi and explore the Capital. Visit iconic places like India Gate, indulge into the Purani Delhi Street Food!
- 7:30 pm -Board an AC Volvo Bus to Aut
Day 3 - 25th Sept: Aut - Gushaini - Choie Waterfall
- Check into resort.
- Breakfast and Freshen Up.
- Check out the Tirthan Valley on the way!
- Trek to Choie Waterfall.
- Dinner and Overnight Sleep.
Day 4 - 26th Sept: Chitkul - The last village of India
- Early morning, begin journey to Chitkul, the last Indian Village towards China Border.
- Experience the journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Kinnaur Valley along the amazing Satluj River.
- Reach Chitkul by evening, check in, dinner and sleep overnight.
Day 5 - 27th Sept: Chitkul - Kalpa
- Wake up early morning to experience one of the most beautiful sunrises.
- Explore the local village of Chitkul. We will be leaving for Kalpa in the noon.
- Reach Kalpa in the evening, check in, dinner and sleep overnight.
Day 6 - 28th Sept: Kalpa to Tabo via Nako
- Today we visit Nako Gompa & Nako Lake & then leave for Tabo - one of the prettiest towns of Spiti Valley.
- On the way, we make our way towards Gue - a little village where lies a perfectly well-preserved 500-year-old Mummy of Sangha Tenzing. It was a Buddhist monk from Tibet. It is found in a sitting position, with his skin and hair intact.
- We reach Tabo & explore Tabo Monastery. Overnight stay in Tabo.
Day 7 - 29th Sept: Tabo to Kaza via Hikkim - Langza - Komic - Overnight stay at Kaza
- Today, we will wake up early, and after Breakfast leave to visit some Best places around Spiti.
- We explore the Best of Spiti Valley, starting from Hikkim village, which hosts the world’s highest post office at an altitude of 14,400 Ft. Collect & send postcards from here to your loved one’s
- After that we head towards Komic Village which is the world’s highest village connected by motorable roads at an altitude of 15,500 Ft.
- Our last stop for the day will be the village of Langza, known for its fossils. You can find prehistoric fossil remains here if you’re lucky.
- Visit the famous massive Buddha Statue here & then reach Kaza.
- You are free to explore Kaza’s famous Market, try out delicious food & cafes, then head back to our Stay for Dinner & an Overnight stay
Day 8 - 30th Sept: Kaza to Chandrataal - Key Monastery - Chicham Bridge - Overnight camping near Chandrataal lake
- We now visit Chicham Bridge - the World's highest bridge from sea level at 13,244Ft. It's one of the most spectacular bridges in the world & is situated above a deep gorge about 1000 feet high.
- We now visit Key Monastery, the jewel of this road trip!
- We now head to Chandratal Lake - a stunning blue coloured lake which is located at an altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level in the heart of Himalayas. Watch the lake change colors from the crystal clear shades of blue to emerald greens by dusk.
- Overnight stay in camps near Chandratal/ Sissu.
Day 9 - 1st Oct: Depart for Manali via Atal Tunnel - Overnight stay at Manali
- We drive to the heart of Himachal - Manali via the most popular Kunzum Pass & Atal Tunnel. The Kunzum Pass is one of the highest motorable passes of India and acts as a connection link between the Lahaul Valley and the Spiti valley.
- Checkin at the hotel/campsite in Old Manali & Go for sightseeing in Manali.
- Chill & vibe as much as you can in the cafes of Old Manali because this will be your last day in Paradise.
Day 10 - 2nd Oct: Old Manali cafe crawl - Manali sightseeing - Depart for Delhi in an AC Volvo
- Reach Delhi by 11am.
- Start your journey back to Mumbai via 3 Tier AC Train.
Day 12 - 4th Cct: Until Next Time Junglees :’)
- Spend your whole day in the Train recollecting all the Sweet & joyous memories of the trip, playing lots of Games & fun.
- Reach Mumbai.Tour ends here with Sweet Memories of Junglees!

EXCLUSIONS:-
- Lunch. (We will explore local cuisines on the way for lunch & one can expect Rs 100-150/- per meal)
- Any meal consumed during transit.
- Any personal expenses like a tip to the drivers, entry to monuments/monasteries, camera/video camera charges, camel safari,river rafting, laundry, telephone bills etc.
- Anything not mentioned in inclusions.

NOTE:-
- Travellers meeting us at Delhi are suggested to reach before 4pm on 24th September 2021. Similarly, travellers leaving Delhi by their own are suggested to book train/flight tickets post 1pm on 3rd October 2021
- Negative RT-PCR test is mandatory and might be required for entry into the state and checkpoints.
- Maintaining Social Distancing is Mandatory throughout the trip.
- Participants must carry their own Masks & Hand Sanitizers Compulsory.
- Participants might have to produce a covid negative report/vaccination certificate in accordance to the state entry requirements issued by the government.
- Early check-in is subject to availability.
- Company’s vehicle will only be accessible till parking areas.
- The Schedule can be changed on the spot by the manager according to the circumstances & convenience.
- Any cost arising out of any event beyond our control, like, strike, bandh, riot, train cancellation, flight cancellation, mechanical breakdown, natural calamity like heavy rains, landslide, snowfall, earthquake, will be directly borne by the guest.
- Junglee won’t be responsible in case any sightseeing/activity gets cancelled due to any natural calamities or man-made incidents.
- Guests would be responsible for safety of their luggage/baggage throughout the Tour.
- Do NOT carry Suitcases or heavy luggage, a good Backpack is recommended and would be comfortable to carry.
- It's a Backpacking Trip and not a Luxury Trip, and this is how we would be fully able to taste the culture & enjoy it to the fullest.
- There will be no room service, luxury hotels, room heaters, etc services. This Backpacking trip is planned to experience the local & feel the Himalayas to the fullest.
- For Lunch, we will Try out Local well-known famous/Local Cafes to experience tasty Local Himachali Cuisines. Do not expect Variety but do expect Quality :p
- If at all the trip gets cancelled due to any event beyond our control or Lockdown, a nominal cancellation fee of 10% will be charged & guests will get the Credit Note of the remaining amount paid which can be used by them anytime in the near future.

- All timings and activities are subject to weather, group size, capabilities of participants, etc.
- Junglee Outdoors holds the right to cancel the event due to unforeseen/unfavorable circumstances (for eg. unfavorable weather)
- By registering for this trip, you agree to have read through and abide by the terms & conditions mentioned below:
I HEREBY AGREE, UNDERTAKE AND DECLARE AS FOLLOWS:
IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to the Junglee Outdoors trip/event/trek/activity, hereinafter referred to as Activities conducted by Junglee Outdoors, (Hereinafter referred to as the Conductor, under the guidance of Parin Gala and/or Mayur Kanade and/or Khush Gala, hereinafter jointly referred to as the Instructors, I do hereby:
Acknowledge and agree that I am aware of the risks involved in the Activities and have also been apprised by the Conductor through his/her Instructors of the inherent risks and dangers associated with the activity and having understood the risks associated with the activity I have willingly agreed to learn/agree to send my ward to learn and participate in the Activities.
I assure that I am / my ward is in proper and good health and I am / my ward is physically fit to learn and also participate in the activity and represent that I am / my ward is not suffering from any disease which might remotely either put myself / my ward or the other participants at any risk or danger;
I agree to comply with the stated terms and conditions of participation; further, agree and warrant that if at any time when the Instructors believe and think that any conditions to be unsafe, they will have the right to ask me / [my ward] to discontinue further participation in the Activities immediately;
I shall not hold the conductor, instructors, employees, other participants, owners, lessors or anyone responsible for any injury that might happen to me / my ward in the course of my journey to the venue and my journey backward;
I hereby release, discharge and agree not to sue the conductor, Instructors, employees, any sponsors, advertisers, other participants, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises on which the activity takes place, from all liability, claims, demands, losses, injuries, damage to property or other damages caused or alleged to be caused on my account / on account of my ward in whole or in part by the bonafide errors of the Instructors.
I have read this letter and I fully understand its terms; I also understand that this letter intends to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the largest extent allowed by law and agree that if any portion of this Agreement is held to be not valid, the balance shall continue in full force and effect.
Cancellation Policy:
- 30 days prior to the date of departure: Rs 100% refunded
- 15 days prior to the date of departure: Rs 50% will be deducted
- 7 days prior to the date of departure: Rs 75% will be deducted
- 1 week to the date of departure: No refund
- (All refunds to be initiated only 3 days post the trip conclude
