All stories in the world have one thing in common - they make everyday people say, “I have a story too”. That is the power of storytelling, it turns a non-writer into a storyteller.
This is the kind of magic we want to create on that stage. The urge to dream and run after it. If you have a story that'll make us say "I have a dream", stop reading and start writing.

The theme of this event is 'Tumse na Ho Payega' and preference would be given to stories with a positive ending. The beginning can be anything but all's well that ends well, right?
If you don’t have a story to share, no worries! You can come, sit back and enjoy the stories with the free beer. We also have a game in the end to find the storyteller within all of us!

What is YOSO?
YOSO means 'you only start once'. Get the drift? At least we should assume that there's one and only one lifetime to do everything we really want to do.
What if I want to tell a story?
You should stop reading this and immediately send us your written story to kahaani@startonce.in or you can send us an audio note with your story to +91-9831991034. We believe in freedom of speech!
How many storytellers will get to tell their stories on stage?
8-10.
How will my story get selected?
Rules to follow before you send in your story,
1. The story should be a non-fictional story ONLY, told in first-person.
2. The length of the story should not exceed 5 minutes.
3. The subject of your email or audio note should be ‘Story of my life’.
4. The story should be in English or Hindi language.
5. Selected entries will get the spotlight.
6. The deadline to submit your stories is August 25th, 2018.
7. Strictly no plagiarism please. Only original stories invited!
