About the Event
In Hindustani music, "सम" (sum) refers to the first beat of a taal, which marks the end of one musical cycle and the beginning of the next.
The End is a play about why relationships end in the present.
Jhumkewali is a play about how relationships bloomed in the past.
'Jhumkewali' by hausofbhaus
A sweet, sapphic, seventies’ play: Jhumkewali is a tender tale of coming-of-age in turbulent times. In this girl-meets-girl story, first love unfurls over lost-and-found earrings in college corridors, conversations in local trains, crosswords, chai-sutta, and stolen nights at the disco.
Follow Bindu and Rekha through the memories and spaces of a past Bombay, on their quest to set up their first date.

'The End' by Parwana Theatre
An anthology of 3 stories about 3 couples, ‘The End’ uses text, movement, music, and memory to understand what we look for in romance and relationships when the odds are stacked against us, when love starts making way for loss, and when questions about desire and the need for control start popping up.
A play about loving, losing, and going on living...
