About the event

Lodhi Gardens is a city park situated in New Delhi. Spread over 90 acres. It contains architectural works of the 15th century by Sayyids & Lodhis - who ruled parts of northern India and Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of modern-day Pakistan from 1414 to 1526. The site is now protected by the Archaeological Survey of India(ASI). Lodhi Gardens are one of the pleasantest green spaces in Delhi - with some labelled trees to help visitors from overseas become familiar with the Indian flora. Before the independence of India the Lodhi Garden was called the "Lady Willingdon Park". We will take you on a tour of the beautiful heritage park. We will discuss these monuments and the dynasties in detail. Also we will share lots of stories and facts about the dynasties.

- Tomb of Muhammed Shah Sayyid

- Bada Gumbad & Mosque

- Sheesh Gambad

- Tomb of Sikandar Lodhi

- Athpula

- Wall Gateway & Mosque

- Turret

-Do wear proper walking shoes.

-To avoid plastic waste please carry water bottles with you.

Best way to reach:

Please reach out at the meeting point by 2:45 PM. The nearest metro station is Jor Bagh(Yellow Line). Take a shared E-Rickshaw towards Lodhi Garden or just walk for 10 minutes. Public buses and cabs are also an option(Please use Google Maps in that case). Lodhi Garden has adequate parking space near gate number 1 Lodhi Garden for those who are in their vehicles.
