One stage, one music, one community

Surabhi Ensemble, an award-winning world music band from Chicago, USA, founded by Saraswathi Ranganathan and Carlo Basile, blends diverse global traditions to foster cross-cultural connections with their vision of #liveasonefamily. Incorporating Carnatic ragas, Spanish flamenco, Middle Eastern maqam, West African drumming, and Mexican folk music, their performances seamlessly integrate dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Rajasthani folk, and flamenco. 

Engaged in concerts, community outreach, and education, the ensemble inspires openness to musical and cultural diversity. With two albums released and a third inspired by their India trip, they are touring India on their Global Peace Tour, "Bridging Cultures Through Harmony," featuring original music, regional favourites, and ancient instruments to promote cross-cultural awareness and engagement.
