What Is The Mela All About?
This unique Mela is organized by the Surajkund Mela Authority & Haryana Tourism in collaboration with Union Ministries of Tourism, Textiles, Culture and External Affairs. It has a flavorful blend of handicrafts, handlooms and cultural fabric of India, which is what makes it the largest crafts fair in the world.
The International Surajkund Handicrafts Mela is already in full swing, starting from March 19 and will continue till April 4 in Faridabad, Haryana. Artists from 20 different countries are taking part in the fair bringing in their artistry and cultural crafts. Artists from Jammu & Kashmir will also have indigenous performances, after all that is the theme of the mela. You can also get handcrafted cultural items, and unique crafts that are exclusive to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
It also has an epic multi-cuisine Food Court that has ethnic cuisines from all over the world. There are designated spaces for entertainment, adventure sports and joy rides and how can we forget - a huuuuge ferris wheel!
