This table brings together Chef Amninder Sandhu and Artist Ekarth Studio to share their take on Conservation through food and art. Does a picnic in the dense forests of Deomali entice you? Around The Campfire - Amninder Sandhu X Ekarth Studio

Join us for a campfire-themed meal, as Chef Amninder Sandhu and Ekarth Studio take you on an outdoor picnic. Chef’s childhood years in Jorhat were peppered with picnics organized by her uncle, where he taught her everything he knew about the neighbouring Naga and North Eastern Indian cuisines. They’d catch fish or hunt, cook the game in bamboo over an open fire like the local tribes and enjoy a meal out there in nature.

At this table, you can step into a world where the sights, sounds, and aromas of a rustic campfire come alive. Our space is inspired by the tribes of Arunachal Pradesh with designs that include traditional motifs and patterns. The physical structure crafted from bamboo reflects the horns worn by the tribesmen, standing tall and victorious at The Gathering. Our menu blends traditional North Eastern flavors to evoke the warmth and nostalgia of an evening in Deomali.

When Chef Amninder is around, the cooking techniques and practices of ancient India come alive. Her passion for traditional cooking has given her an exhaustive knowledge of traditional Indian recipes and methods. Her life’s work centres on reviving and safeguarding the country’s past through elaborately prepared or skill sensitive food. 

Artist Profile: Ekarth Studio 

Firefly House, a two-storied luxury villa crafted mainly from bamboo in Assam is proof of the stellar work that Neha and Ekarth Studio are capable of. They want to push the boundaries of what is possible with natural building. Constructing architectural poetry with epic bamboo spaces/structures makes them frontrunners in sustainable luxury.
