Reviving the country’s underground music scene, Greater Than Gin presents The Spot Concerts!

As an extension of their #ListenGreater Initiative, dedicated to putting indie artists with unique styles, voices, and messages in the spotlight, The Spot Concerts is a celebration of fresh talent on the brink of their musical journey alongside existing indie legends. Co-hosted by The Piano Man New Delhi, curated over two days featuring Live Bands & Live Electronica acts with genre-fluid sounds. 

To elevate the experience, Greater Than Gin is co-curating exclusive cocktail menus for both days with The Piano Man, complementing the overarching theme that caters to artists who are quintessentially experimental, minimal, and bold. 

Day 1 (27th January, Saturday) Is All About Live Bands 

Bawari Basanti:

Mahima Dayal, professionally known as Bawari Basanti, is a Hindustani classical & folk musician from India who creates music based on her conversations with beings of all shapes and sizes. Her style of work is uniquely melodic and concerns itself with ideas of identity, doubt, and dreams in a dystopian state. Currently working with experimental sounds to add more dimensions to her storytelling on stage. 

INGA:

INGA takes her name from the Tamil word that loosely means ‘to be present’. Fela Kuti’s vibrant performances, Devendra Banhart’s eccentric vocals, and Jim Morrison’s visual writing have trickled down to birth her eclectic sound. Anointed winner of NEXA Music S2 (2023) by A.R. Rahman, the Mumbai & Bengaluru-based artist establishes her presence in the world with her genre-fluid music.

The Revisit Project:

The Revisit Project demystifies the complexity and rigor of jazz with a distinctive and characteristic twist. Their music combines solid groove, old-school funk, and rhythmic jazz with pointed observations about life, love, and politics in India.
