Trans Recruitment Mela 2023 is a one-of-a-kind Job Fair focused solely on Transgender Job-Seekers. Organized jointly by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, National Institute of Social Defence, Tweet Foundation & InHarmony, the event seeks to provide Trans candidates a unique platform to connect directly with recruiters from some of India’s best organizations.

92% of India’s transgender population is deprived of the right to participate in any form of economic activity in the country, with even qualified ones being refused jobs. 

Given this scenario, the Trans Recruitment Mela hopes to break through these barriers and provide equal opportunity for all aspiring & deserving transgender candidates. Employers are provided with a large talent pool of diverse applicants across the country who have been pre-screened and in some cases been trained to make them career ready.

The Mela will witness participation by over 100 plus transgender candidates from across the country along with industry stalwarts, government representatives, bi-lateral UN organizations and leading NGOs and placement consultancies.

Q. How can I participate in the Trans Employment Mela ? (non job seekers)

Individuals who wish to participate in the Mela as visitors can pay an entry fee of Rs. 3000/-. through the paytm insider link provided above

Entry fees will enable visitors to network with transgender job seekers, and participants from various companies, ministries, NGOs over the course 0f the day. They will also have an opportunity to gain more knowledge about the transgender community and best practices in the Trans Inclusion space through panel discussions, key note addresses, performances by trans talents. The fees includes lunch, snacks and hot beverages.

Q. How can a trans candidate participate in the Mela?

Trans candidates can participate at the cost of 1500 per person that includes full day event access with snacks, lunch and hot beverages at the Lalit in Delhi. You get to meet 20-25 corporates at their booths and other placement partners. You will also be able to meet organisations that provide counselling and skilling opportunities.

Q. What is the agenda for the event?

The agenda is segregated into 2 sections 

1. Outdoor Job fair through Employment Booths: This is where recruiting companies and Trans candidates will meet each other, exchange information, JDs and resumes, be interviewed and even close on positions.  
2. Indoor plenary: Includes key note addresses, panel discussions, entertainment programs, human library and networking.

Q. If I opt for general participation, will I be able to speak to Trans Candidates?

Absolutely! We expect 100+ transgender candidates to be present at Mela. This is a great opportunity for you to interact with the Community

Q. Do you accommodate people with special needs?
