And with social media duly keeping tabs on all that we do, our travels are often documented by default.

Travel blogging is the conscious process of keeping a log of your wanderings, generally for the benefit of readers. Thousands of writers and photographers now travel the world registering their thoughts through various social media platforms. Writing about your travels not only helps one reflect upon the journey while lending your experience permanence, it also becomes an archive of stories that future travellers can draw advice and inspiration from. Writing, while serving this higher purpose, can have other benefits too.

Open Bracket Presents: Travel-Write-Earn, a workshop that will focus on three key aspects of travel blogging, travelling right, effectively documenting your travels, and earning through your writing to fund future trips! Along with a basic outline of travel blogging, our guest artist Divyakshi (Quirky Wanderer) will elaborate on how to take one's blog to a level where it can aid earnings and acquire sponsorships, through correct marketing and collaborations. Though being a blogger isn't as easy as it would seem, getting paid to travel the world is a dream job indeed! So, for all the vagabonds out there, here is a chance to expand your horizons. And quite literally so!

Divyakshi Gupta, who started her career as a strategic planner with an advertising firm, now is a travel blogger, freelance travel writer, social media consultant, MBA guest lecturer and conducts travel workshops, besides working as a Marketing professional. Travel for her is therapeutic as well as a great teacher. "It moulds us in ways we cannot fathom. Each and every place has something to give you and you unknowingly give back something to that place. It is a two way exchange." She says. Divyakshi loves travelling to offbeat places, to new cultures, to new people and in the process to her own self.
