Psychedelic rock is too less a term to describe the band in its entirety. They have always been an enigma at heart. In 1965, when Syd Barrett and Roger Waters met Rick Wright and Nick Mason, who knew they could form something of a movement with Pink Floyd? The band achieved international acclaim with their progressive and psychedelic music. Distinguished by their use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, extended compositions and elaborate live shows, they are one of the most commercially successful and musically influential groups in the history of music.
