Ladakh has much to offers to its visitors. You can spend weeks here and will still not have your fill of it. There are high altitude passes, challenging roads, beautiful lakes, inviting treks, mesmerizing valleys; enough to keep you, your gaze and your camera occupied for as long as you stay here. One such prime highlight of a trip to Ladakh is the beautiful and enchanting Nubra Valley. A small mysterious placed tucked up in the lap of Himalayas; nurturing a beauty still untouched and a culture still enigmatic.

Nubra Valley is located at a distance of about 100 kilometers from the city of Leh; on the other side of mighty Khardung La. Its original name is believed to be “Ldumra” meaning “Valley Of Flowers”. Now also known as Orchard of Ladakh, this beautiful part of our country is on top of the list for every tourist traveling to Ladakh. Until 2010, it was open for civilians until only Panamik and Hunder but then the last points were moved ahead to Warshi and Turtuk.

Itinerary

Day 1 : LEH ( ARRIVAL )

• Upon arrival at the Leh Airport; transfer you to the Hotel; rest of day at your leisure and acclimatise yourself to high altitude. Stay overnight in Leh.

Day 2 : LEH SIGHTSEEING

• After breakfast; ready for the full day sightseeing in and around Leh. First visit Nimmo confluence of Zanskar and Indus River; around 35 km away from Leh city; famous Magnetic Hill; later visit the Gurudwara Pather Sahib while going back to Leh.Then visit the Shanti stupa from where you can have the breathtaking 360-degree view of the entire Leh city and Leh palace. Later in the evening; you are free to explore the local market or to taste the Ladakhi delicacies in old cafes. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 3 : LEH – NUBRA

• After sumptuous breakfast; drive to Nubra valley that is around 140 Kms and takes approximately 4 to 5 hrs from Leh through Khardung la (18380 ft.); hailed as Highest Motor-able road in the World). En route visit the ancient Diskit Monastery. Later head towards the Hunder village famous for Bactrian camels and white sand dunes. Spend leisure time at Hunder; enjoy the camel Safari in Sand Dunes. Later check into Hotel/Camps. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel/camp in Nubra.

Day 4 : NUBRA – PANGONG ( SHYOK )

• After leisurely breakfast; drive back to Pangong. After 5-6 hours drive; reach Pangong . Rest of day is at your Leisurre. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp in Pangong.

Day 5 : LEH

• Today wake up early and leave for Pangong Lake (14500 ft.) with packed breakfast via Shyok. after 4-5 hours drive; arrive at the blue Pangong Lake; spend some time and leave for Leh through Changla Pass 17350 ft.; it is the third highest motorable road in the world. En-route visit the Thiksey Monastery. Back to Leh in the evening and stay overnight.

Day 6 : LEH ( DEPARTURE )

• Have breakfast; pack your bags and bid adieu to this lovely place with sweet memories. You will be picked up and transferred to Airport for onward journey.

• 3 Nights at hotel in Leh on double sharing basis.
• 2 Nights stay in Nubra Valley on double sharing basis.
• Daily breakfast and Dinner during your stay in Hotel/Camp.
