We are bringing our always sought-after Pen & Wash Watercolor workshops online for you to make the most of this quarantine period. And to add on to the experience, we have included Urban Illustrations as well!!!!

For those who are unaware, with Pen & Wash, it is quite easy to create fabulous paintings in a very short time. This makes it ideal for indoor and outdoor work. Like when you visit any place of interest or are on a holiday and feel like painting what you see, all you need is to grab a pen, sketch out the scene and give it a watercolor wash later!

Pen and wash is a fresh and fun way of combining watercolor techniques with your drawing skills. In this workshop our Artist Preeti Bhatnagar will guide you through the techniques of creating Urban Illustrations as well along with all the knowledge of watercolors that you will need.

During this workshop, we will explore :

- concept of perspective

- creating urban sketches

- using a range of varied tonal areas created by making different lines and marks

- then overlaying lightly colored wash or washes over selected areas of the sketch to emphasize focal points in the painting.

Pen & Wash can be as simple or as complex as you wish, which again, makes it very 'user-friendly' for people of all abilities, from absolute beginners to very accomplished artists.

Materials required are :

1. Watercolors & brushes

2. Sheets (preferably Watercolor sheets of 250+ GSM, however, a sketchbook with 150+ GSM will also work for beginners)

3. Waterproof black pointed pen

4. Pencil, eraser and ruler
