Dilli Gharana, the native music conservatory of Delhi has painstakingly preserved throughout ages and eras, its priceless musical traditions of Indian classical music. Our goal is promoting, celebrating, safeguarding and preserving the rich and intangible cultural heritage of Indian Classical Music that the

Gharana has been carrying forward since 13th century. It worries us that the audiences of classical music are growing older and not much is being done to promote performances of classical masterpieces amongst the youth. 

‘Dilli Darbar 2019’- Back to classics, was the biggest celebration of Indian Classical Music aimed solely towards the renaissance of Indian Classical Music in India. 

Our effort has been rewarded by prestigious EEMAX Global award 2019. Dilli Durbar 2019 has won GOLD in the BEST ARTS FESTIVAL category, BRONZE in the BEST MUSIC EVENT (TICKETED/NOT TICKETED) at the prestigious awards. We aim to preserve and showcase treasures of the classical world for the generations to come. Amidst such conditions, to organise a festival like Dilli Durbar-2019 only seemed natural and much needed to maintain the flow of revival that’s happening around with some amazing art; literature festivals, and also to do our bit for the beautiful art form that is ‘Indian Classical Music’. 

We are excited to inform that the second edition of USTAD IQBAL AHMED KHAN'S Dilli Durbar is now being organised with the support of Ministry of Culture, Govt of India under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on February 10, 11 & 12, 2023 at India Gate Lawns, New Delhi.
