About the Event
Virgin Jokes is that time of the week where you get to witness some of the best budding comedians in town harvest their newest jokes. The jokes are virgins, not the comedians. We guess.
It's a long fresh line up of comedians, on your lucky day, might see some famous comedians try out their material.
Pomodoros is known for great food & Comfort, and if you come, it'll also be known for jokes.
About Some Of The Performers
Harman Preet Singh
A comic who looks older than his age, says things younger than his age! His comedy is loud, personal yet relatable cause mistakes are funny. Loves making chai and drying clothes.
Neelaksh Mathur
The youngest member of The Comedy Factory, Gujarat. Originally from Rajasthan, he now calls Bangalore his home. Neelaksh spends his time these days talking about his RSS affiliations and how he dumped IIT.
Vijeth VS
Short guy with extra large expectations, likes to make things sassy (the term which he found on the internet after searching for an hour). He can smell the awkwardness between any two people, that's the superpower on which he thrives on. Follow me and he will be happy.
Gaurav Purohit
A stand-up comic from Bangalore. His jokes majorly consist of some personal stories and some messed-up theories. By the time he'll be famous, this synopsis/bio will be useless, so no point reading further.

Priya Malik
Priya Malik is a lot of things, a TedX speaker, an actress, a columnist, a TV personality, a teacher, a spoken word poet, a storyteller, a comic but most importantly a writer/performer whose recent viral works such as Right to Pleasure and Dear Mr Player are a testimony to her distinct voice. Her work has been featured on some of India's biggest spoken word platforms such as Kommune, UnErase Poetry, Spill Poetry, Amazon Prime and Tape A Tale. On the literary side, Priya's first book with Harper Collins is all set to release early next year. She is on an unapologetic feminist journey, one verse at a time -
Hussain Haidry
After a 5 year corporate stint in finance and accounts, Hussain moved to Bombay 1 ½ years ago to pursue writing. He presently works as a performance poet, lyricist and screenwriter. He writes poems and songs in Hindi-Urdu about his observations on life and people around him. He is the artist behind such viral hits such as the Hindi-Urdu “Hindustani Musalmaan” and “Lat”, and has been featured in diverse spaces from Kommune and LallanTop to Radio Nasha, Radio City and The Poetry Club. -
Gaurav Tripathi
A Hindi spoken word poet and storyteller, Gaurav Tripathi’s writing will leave you both introspecting and relating. Having performed in multiple universities like IIT KANPUR, IIT ROORKEE, SRCC and platforms like Ajmer Literature Festival, Jashn-e-Bahar, he's been featured in media like Aaj Tak, The Week, The Lallantop, Times of India, Amar Ujala (Kanpur edition), Radio City, Storypick, Inuth etc. -
Sheena Khalid
Sheena Khalid is a theatre director, writer and actor based in Mumbai. She is a founding member of the theatre company - Patchworks Ensemble, where she co-directed and co-devised the shows “Ila” and “The Gentlemen’s Club AKA Tape”. Both ‘Ila’ and the ‘Gentlemen’s Club’ have travelled to various prestigious theatre festivals around the country. She is one of the five fellows for the “Tendulkar-Dubey Fellowship” for young theatre artist of outstanding talent.On a personal note, Sheena Khalid continues to deepen her exploration into performances and stories about and by women. -

Amandeep Singh
Amandeep Singh is a storyteller and writer who has reached over 20 million people online with his stories. Apart from all the love he has garnered online, Amandeep has been featured by Netflix, Buzzfeed India, Aaj Tak, Being Indian, The Indian Express and many other media houses. He has also performed for different festivals across the country including the main stage at Spoken Fest 2019, Jash-e-rekhta and colleges like Delhi University, BITS Hyderabad, LPU and many others. He has also shared stage with Rahat Indori Ji at NIT Jamshedpur and have been appreciated for his work. -
Nidhi Narwal
Nidhi Narwal basically from Rohtak, Haryana and she is currently pursuing her graduation in life sciences from Kirorimal College, Delhi University. She started performing poetry socially in February, 2018. she is into writing raw hindi poetries , Nidhi has overall around 30 million views on poetry videos over different social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. Apart from this , She also run her own YouTube channel where she manages her content on a personal basis. Nidhi has 3L followers on Instagram, 8L Followers on Tik-Tok also having almost a Lakh on Facebook and 1.50L Subscribers on YouTube -
Megha Rao
Megha Rao is a confessional poet and a surrealist artist. Her two fiction titles were published by Penguin Random House India in 2015 and 2016. Her work has been featured on platforms such as Firstpost, The Open Road Review, New Asian Writing, Terribly Tiny Tales, ScoopWhoop, eShe Magazine, New Love Times, Why Indian Men Rape, Homegrown and Thought Catalog, Kommune and UnErase. Megha has been interviewed by leading newspapers such as The Hindu and The New Indian Express, and is a post graduate in English Literature from the University of Nottingham, UK. When she's not cafe hopping in Mumbai with a bunch of Sylvia Plath poems or biographies on Frida Kahlo in her bag, she's mostly curled up on her grandfather's easy chair with her cats back home in Trivandrum, Kerala. -
Jasmine Khurana
From a geeky economics professor (later administrator), now dancing to the real soundtrack of her life as a writer and Spoken Word artist. Humor is where lies her G-Spot, she discovered on the other side of 40 while writing and performing. Best known for her piece ‘Banter Between Generations’ that she performs with her son. It’s a Spoken Word piece that tries to decipher the parent-child bond during the turbulent teenage years and deep dives into generation gaps. Her Spoken Word work has been featured by ScoopWhoop, articles on parenting and women’s lives published in esteemed newspapers like ‘The Hindu’ and featured on leading publishing platforms like Women’s Web and Momspresso. -
Rakesh Tiwari
Hindi Spoken word artist, Rakesh Tiwari has spent over 4 years on stage, sharing his emotional poems that touch on subjects ranging from everyday life; forgotten hometowns and villages, fading windows and homes to the inner self that has long been ignored. He uses poetry as meditation and his poems connect with audiences universally. -
Mehak Mirza Prabhu
Mehak Mirza Prabhu is fueled by her passion for storytelling to the extent of making it her identity. She writes and narrates original fictional stories in Urdu, Hindi and Marathi, and voice modulations is her unique strength. With a fantasy of one day building a city, where she could sit under a massive tree and tell stories to thousands, she inches one step closer to this dream everyday. Having millions of views to her stories online, travelling cities for various events, mentoring writers and storytellers through her pathshala – “Jhumritalaiya”, this inspiring TED talk speaker, has found a new life in reinventing this oldest art form of fictional oral storytelling. -
Sumit Roy
Roy is a tri-lingual rapper and a visual artist currently based out of New Delhi. With his art, he confronts the reality of an industrialized nation while occupying the Indian context, Sumit Roy juxtaposes an aspirational visual universe and the cult of global stardom with quotidian sights and attitudes from his immediate locale. The same approach extends to his music, where he uses the subversive, trans-continental form of hip hop to articulate ongoing contemporary political anxieties in India. As an artist working with sound, text and image, he is able to tap into a range of sensibilities while defying them all. -
Kubbra Sait
Model and actor, Kubbra Sait, is currently starring in the Netflix television series “Sacred Games”. She made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s ‘Ready’ in 2011, followed by ‘Jodi Breakers’ and ‘I Love New Year’ in 2014. Winner of India’s Best Female Emcee Award, Kubbra Sait has been master of ceremonies for such events as Filmfare, The IAA Crown Awards, IAA Indian Leadership and Adobe India among others. As a Kommune storyteller, Kubbra uses the stage and mic to share her own personal stories. -
Sanjeeta Bhattacharya
Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, 23, is a Delhi based singer-songwriter. Before graduating from Berklee College of Music, Boston, Sanjeeta began her journey in music training in Hindustani Classical music while simultaneously exploring the world of jazz, RnB, flamenco and Latin styles. She has performed at various venues across India, Boston and Spain including Boston Symphony Hall alongside composer A.R. Rahman, music festivals like Panama Jazz, Magnetic Fields, ICCR Jazz, NCPA Jazz, Pune and Itanagar Jazz Fests and Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava. Lately she has been playing as a session artist with various acts around the country, working on her Balkan folk choral project, Voicestra and released her singles, I Will Wait and Natsukashii from her upcoming EP, Yatra. -
Akhil Katyal
Akhil Katyal is a poet based in Delhi. His second book of poems How Many Countries Does the Indus Cross won the Editor's Choice Award from The Great Indian Poetry Collective and is forthcoming with them. He recently translated Ravish Kumar's Hindi poetry book Ishq Mein Shahar Hona as A City Happens in Love for Speaking Tiger. Along with Aditi Angiras, he is editing an anthology of South Asian Queer Poetry for HarperCollins India. He teaches poetry at Ambedkar University Delhi. -

Saby Singh is a singer-songwriter from Kashmir. He derives his roots from Hindustan Shastriya Sangeet and blends it with his neo-blues, alt-rock and indie-pop influences. With a major commitment to melodies, he writes in Urdu. Saby plays a dynamic set where he is known to deliver super improvised versions of his own songs. -
Samar Mehdi
Samar Mehdi is a percussive finger-style guitarist and singer-songwriter from Bhopal. He released his debut EP 'Urooj' in April which received a rave response and appreciation for its underlying wisdom and honesty. His recently released playthrough video of Martbaan, based on a poem by June Huzun (of the same name) brings together his poetic and musical talents and was met with the same warmth and admiration. -
Sainee Raj
Sainee Raj is an Indian actor-writer who has written the award winning short film named Int. Cafe - Night, and The Last Day respectively. Her claim to fame was a 90s TV show called Shaka Laka Boom Boom. She grew up to act in a bunch of shows and sketches ranging from AIB to Filtercopy. She finds poetic justice in words, and is obsessed with everything Gulzar saab and Urdu. You will often find her sniffing through books in libraries, wishing she'd read more. She's here to leave her story behind. Do give it a listen! -
Amol Parashar
One of India's most promising young actors, has seen rising fame and recognition with the youth since his advent in Web Series. One of the most followed and loved actors in the digital space, Amol has experience across all mediums - theatre, ads and films. Being a perfect combination of versatile craft and good looks, also with an engineering degree from IIT Delhi, makes him a poster boy for the Indian millennial. The fact that he is witty and approachable in real life, make him even more irresistible. Amol’s most famous work is his portrayal of Chitvan Sharma in the superhit web series TVF Tripling.
