What is expected?

In this session, participants can expect to learn an out-of-the-box medium of art - Wine Painting. Instead of using the usual and conventional paints, they will be taken through a step by step guide to using wine to paint a beautiful masterpiece of their own.

What will they learn?

Everyone paints with paints. What else can we paint with? Ever thought of the beautiful shades that can be created using wine? Have you looked at a wine stain and thought that it has the potential to be art? In this workshop, participants will be introduced to the basics of using wine to paint with. They will be taught how to reduce wine to be able to paint with it, how they can achieve different shades using just wine and they will be guided to create a wine painting of their own, one step at a time.

Materials needed?

1. A cup of reduced wine - To reduce, add the wine to a non stick vessel and simmer on low heat. Do not heat for more than 10-12 minutes as the wine will burn.

2. A4 sheet paper - Thicker the better. I use a 300GSM watercolour paper.
