About the Workshop:

Art and Craft activities might get a little messy, but don't worry, art and craft are brilliant for developing little minds and bodies. So, what's a few paint stains compared to burgeoning creativity!

Craft activities foster communication, listening, attention, and imagination. These activities can enhance mental health and well-being as well as fostering a whole range of developmental skills in preschoolers, such as:

• Fine motor skills
• Enhancing children's hand eye coordination and building levels of manual dexterity.
• Identification of shapes, colour and texture
• Working with materials teaches them about colours, shapes and textures. How things work and how they fit together.
• Creativity
• Craft encourages children to play and experiment in a fun and relaxed environment.

About Darshani:

Darshani has an experience of 10 years in the teaching field. Since last 3.5 year she has been a part of D Y Patil International School, Worli. She is also a Certified facilitator of National Geography. As an artist, she is very passionate about Art and Craft.

About Rajvee:

A professional fine artist, Rajvee is always looking for new opportunities to translate life experiences into art. Through a meticulous approach to arts, she tried to make a strong and positive impression in this field. She has a Masters in Visual Arts. She represented University for three consecutive years at Inter University National level Youth Festival and has bagged Gold and Silver medals in Rangoli and Fine art events.

Currently, she is working as a full time Visual Art teacher at DY Patil International School, Worli. She is also training students of various age groups for different state, zonal and national level art competitions since 8 years with many successful and notable results.

Materials Required:

Day 1:

• Paper plate
• Crayons
• Fevicol
• Ice-cream stick-1
• Colour paper strips of size (5 x 2 inch)- 4
• Safety scissor
• Sketch pens
• 2 Pairs of googly eyes size- medium

Day 2:

• Tissue paper- 4
• Sketch pens
• Big water bowl filled with water
• Rough cloth
• 1 cup All-Purpose Flour (Maida)
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup salt
• 1/2 cup warm water
• 2-3 drops food colouring (Optional) or natural food colour like haldi 
• Newspaper
