About the Workshop:

Storytelling is the oldest form of teaching. Stories create magic and a sense of wonder in the world. Stories teach us about life, about ourselves and about others. Storytelling is a unique way for kids to develop an understanding, respect and appreciation for other cultures, and can promote a positive attitude to people from different lands and religions.

Benefits of Storytelling:

When you tell your first story, there is a magical moment. The children sit enthralled, mouths open, eyes wide. If that isn’t enough reason, then consider that storytelling:

• Encourages learners to read texts in stories
• Initiates writing because children will quickly want to write stories and tell them

About Preksha:

Preksha has been teaching in various schools for the past 3 years and has been a part of the D Y Patil International School, Worli' family for the past 2 years.

About Ankita:

Ankita has been in the education system for the past 8 years. She has had the privilege of working with various IB schools across Mumbai. Currently, she is a teacher in DY Patil International School Worli.
